We’re thrilled to share C4K’s FY2024 Impact Report, which highlights the milestones our community has achieved over the past year. At C4K, we equip youth from low-income households to unlock their potential through STEAM-focused, mentorship-driven programs, and the numbers from this year tell a story of engagement, perseverance, and growth.
Our youth community continues to be richly diverse, with 93% identifying as people of color. We serve students in grades 6 through 12, with a significant segment of middle schoolers aged 13-14 (42%). This year, C4K delivered impactful STEAM mentoring through 16-week 1:1 cohorts, Collabs (our group mentoring program), summer camps, and hands-on workshops. Our Clubhouse saw members stay engaged for an average of 2.1 hours per visit, affirming our role as a trusted, safe, and inspiring space.
We’re especially proud that 88% of our members completed their 16-week projects during FY2024. Whether it was through 1:1 or group mentoring, our youth members created meaningful work with the guidance of 103 dedicated mentors who shared their time, experience, and passion. We also piloted a 12th grade Pathways Program, supporting seniors in navigating the college search and application process. We’re delighted to report that all five participants successfully applied and are attending either two or four-year colleges, with two participants winning full-ride engineering scholarships!
Regarding financial stewardship, 82% of our revenue went directly toward our programs, with 10% supporting fundraising efforts and 8% allocated to management. Our work is only possible through the generosity of our community, and we are immensely grateful for the contributions of individual donors and grantors alike. Individual donations account for 43% of our revenue, and grants follow closely behind at 42%.
Looking ahead, 2025 will mark C4K’s 25th anniversary—a testament to our community’s dedication and the lasting impact of mentorship. With this exciting milestone on the horizon, we are committed to expanding our reach and continuing to equip the next generation with 21st Century Skills. Thank you to the mentors, donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors who have supported us; together, we’re building brighter futures for area youth!
