On Friday, December 6th, 2024, the C4K Clubhouse buzzed with excitement as our youth members presented their incredible STEAM projects at the Fall Project Showcase. Over the fall semester, these young innovators worked side-by-side with their mentors to bring their creative ideas to life—blending science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Some projects were entirely digital, others were physical objects, but all involved using one or more technologies to create a finished product. Over the semester, youth and their mentors managed roadblocks and solved problems they encountered, developing resilience and project-management skills in the process.
Here’s a glimpse into four projects that give you a sense of the range of possibilities for STEAM exploration at the C4K Clubhouse:

IX Park Bike Ride
Robinson wanted to explore creating a 3D model of a real space. He used Cospaces and Oculus to develop an immersive virtual ride around IX Park to show the variety of businesses and activities there.

Fun Box
Yusra wanted to make a useful and attractive project to hold her treasures. She used a laser cutter, power tools, and paint to bring her vivid dream to life. Yusra enjoyed adding details like brass hinges and decorations for a finishing touch.
Hobby Coaster & Mug
Talis used a laser cutter and Photoshop to design and create a coaster that highlighted her hobbies. She and her mentor also used a 3D printer and paint to create custom-designed mugs.
Going for Gold
OJ wanted to apply his interest in running and the Olympics to a new video game. He used Roblox Studio to code an exciting track-running competition. Although coding was hard, OJ was proud of how fun the game turned out!
Beyond the finished products, the Fall Project Showcase was a celebration of growth, confidence, and the joy of learning.
We’re so proud of all our young creators and can’t wait to see what the next cohort will achieve. Stay tuned for more STEAM-powered inspiration from C4K!
