At C4K, we’re always looking to improve and better support our youth members, mentors, and families. This fall, we surveyed our youth cohort, and the results are in! The insights from our members showcase the positive impact of our programs while highlighting opportunities for growth. Let’s see what our youth members are telling us…

• 100% of respondents feel supported by their mentors.
• 97% reported having at least one additional supportive adult in their lives because of C4K.
• Members feel welcome at the Clubhouse (97%) and proud of their work here (97%).
• One member shared, “I like C4K. I am grateful for being here; you have made me feel at home in this place. I will have this place in my heart for as long as I live. Thank you everyone.”
Strong, supportive relationships are the foundation for building confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. By fostering a community where youth feel welcomed and connected, C4K is creating an environment where they can thrive both personally and academically. This support extends beyond the Clubhouse, giving members tools to succeed in life.
Access to Technology
• 88% of members feel C4K provides unique access to technology they wouldn’t otherwise have.
Access to cutting-edge technology levels the playing field for youth from all backgrounds, equipping them with the tools and experiences they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world. C4K ensures that students can explore, create, and innovate without barriers, preparing them for future opportunities.
Social Connections
The most common theme in open-ended responses was the value of social connections built at the Clubhouse. When asked about a favorite aspect of the Clubhouse, one member noted, “It was making friends who were also here to be involved in the program and the many things they offer that I doubt I could find in most places.”
C4K isn’t just about technology—it’s about community. Building friendships with like-minded peers fosters collaboration, mutual support, and a sense of belonging that enhances overall well-being. These social benefits make the Clubhouse a special place where members grow together as a team.

The enthusiasm of our members shows that C4K is more than a program—it’s a home away from home to connect with peers and caring adults. The welcoming atmosphere and the dedication of our mentors and volunteers create a space where youth feel valued, inspired, and encouraged to dream big.
Looking Ahead: Building on Success
As we reflect on these results, we’re planning for how we can enhance the following areas of our members’ mentoring experience at C4K:
- Continuing to boost members’ confidence with using technology.
- Expanding exposure to career possibilities in STEAM.
- Helping youth envision themselves in tech careers.
We’re excited to identify opportunities to deepen our impact. Helping youth gain confidence and envision future careers is vital for breaking cycles of inequality and expanding their horizons. By addressing these gaps, we can equip more young people to see themselves as leaders and innovators in STEAM fields.
