C4K Launches Collabs, Fostering Creativity and Collaboration Among C4K Members

At C4K’s Clubhouse, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest initiative: Collabs. These groups provide an exciting new opportunity for members to explore their creativity and collaborate with peers in unique ways.

What are Collabs?

Collabs grew from our members expressing interest in working on projects with their peers. Composed of youth members and group mentors, Collabs have participants working together and developing STEM skills while focused on a common goal.

Led by Group Mentors

Kevin Fleischer, a dedicated group mentor at C4K, worked with members on digital artistry in the Album Cover Making Collab. Together, he and the members had the opportunity to unleash their creativity by making album covers using software from Adobe, Inc.

In addition to digital artistry, this semester’s Collabs have included 3D creations, fashion light shows, animation, and film-making. These diverse options ensure that every member can find a Collab that sparks their interest and allows them to explore their passions.

Building Bonds and Skills

One of the most significant benefits of Collabs is the opportunity for members to learn from one another. Kevin explains, “Some people learned how to use the tools better and teach others in the Collab group.” The peer-to-peer learning not only enhances technical skills but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among participants.

Looking to the Future

C4K aims to evolve Collabs into semester-long projects that require multiple disciplines to complete, providing members with even more opportunities for exploration.

We’re excited about the future of this new program and the opportunity to provide our members with a dynamic platform for exploring their interests, building skills, and forging meaningful connections with their peers and mentors.
