On October 6, 2023, Computers4Kids (C4K) held its first pitch night at the CODE Building, where the Fall Cohort of youth members shared their STEAM-powered project ideas with their peers, families and the C4K community, including their community mentors.

The pitched projects were youth-driven, ranging from a single-person arm wrestling table to a wireless telegraph, stop-motion animations, and a 3D chess set.
Youth members will work with their community mentors to develop their projects, which will help them develop essential 21st-century skills and socio-emotional competencies, such as:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Creativity and innovation
- Collaboration and communication
- Perseverance and resilience
- Self-awareness and self-management
- Social awareness and relationship skills
These skills are essential for success in school, the workplace, and life.
The youth entrepreneurs will present their final projects at a showcase at the end of the eight weeks.
C4K’s pitch night was a celebration of youth innovation and STEAM education. as well as the partnership between youth members and their community mentors. It was an opportunity for the youth entrepreneurs to share their ideas and a chance for the C4K community to learn more about the exciting projects they are working on.
We are excited to see how the youth will develop their projects over the coming weeks, with the support of their community mentors.
