Originally from Montclair, New Jersey, Terah Johnson came to the Charlottesville area in summer 2021. Terah is now working at Charlottesville City Schools as a Clinical Social Worker at Buford Middle School.
Terah has fifteen years of experience and training in the field of social work. Much of his professional career has centered on youth mental health support and development. As a Clinical Social Worker, he provides students and their families with the necessary resources and referrals they need to thrive in school, conducts individual and group counseling sessions to address specific needs of students, and works through various sensitive issues concerning students and their families.
Terah gravitates towards the mentoring aspect of C4K. He believes that everyone should have someone in their lives to support them.
He is excited to be joining the board of directors because he is passionate about making a difference in the community. He hopes to aid in promoting C4K’s programming to more students, especially with his direct connection to the school system.
Welcome, Terah! We are so glad to have you!
