The drone used to tour our space was a radio-controlled multi-rotor quadcopter. Owen Zanzal, the pilot, used video goggles to see via the camera mounted to the drone, allowing him to navigate our space with precision and speed.
A big thanks to Owen Zanzal of CvilleFPV who gifted us the drone-tour and shared his drone smarts with our youth.
CvilleFPV is a group of FPV (first-person view) drone enthusiasts based in Charlottesville. Concentrated on multirotor racing and freestyle drones but FPV pilots of all kinds are welcome. They offer support and advice through their Facebook group and events.
