On October 19th, C4K’s Clubhouse Coordinator, Cullen Levesque, and Director of Operations, Colin Learmonth, attended The Clubhouse Network’s Annual Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The event brought together Clubhouse and Best Buy Teen Tech Center leaders from around the world to engage with a diverse group of speakers, explore hands-on approaches to STEAM learning, and discover new strategies for creative youth development. This year’s theme—“Rooted in Community: Reimagining the Future”—set the tone for five days of collaboration and inspiration.
Keynote speakers included representatives from Best Buy Social Impact, Cisco Systems, Xperiential, MENTOR, and leadership from The Clubhouse Network. Sessions explored everything from storytelling and emerging technologies to skill building and centering human connections. A consistent thread throughout the week was the importance of connecting experiential learning to career pathways of the future.
Reflecting the conference’s community-driven spirit, many breakout sessions were led by Clubhouse program staff from across the global network. C4K was featured in two of them.
- Colin served as a panelist in “Mentoring Across the Network: Sharing Models, Best Practices, and Highlights,” where he shared insights from C4K’s unique 1-to-1 mentoring model. The approach sparked strong interest among attendees from around the world.
- Cullen designed and facilitated “Finding Your Rhythm,” an interactive workshop that blended kinesthetic learning with Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) technology. Participants explored an accessible and engaging onramp to support youth interested in creating their first song.
C4K is proud to contribute to and learn from this vibrant international community. The connections, ideas, and inspiration gained at the conference strengthen our ongoing mission to combine mentoring and technology to prepare youth for brighter futures.
