On Friday, October 4, 2024, C4K hosted its highly anticipated fall Project Pitch Night at the CODE Building, where our youth members presented their innovative, STEAM-powered project ideas to a supportive audience of peers, families, mentors, and the wider C4K community. Our largest cohort to date brought tremendous energy to their presentations, as they provided details about materials and technology they’ll use and outcomes they hope to achieve.
This year’s projects featured a range of creativity and technologies, with ideas such as:
- Animated video, using Pivot animator and Adobe Premiere
- Custom-designed drone shell, using a 3D printer and motors
- Music video, using a camera and recording equipment
- Jigsaw puzzle, using a laser printer and wood
- Digital poster portfolio, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Remote control Jeep, using a 3D printer and electronics
- Motorized solar system model, using a 3D printer and motors
- VR driving simulator, using a VR headset and cospace.io platform
Each youth member, with support from their mentors, took the stage to share their vision for projects that aim to incorporate one or more of the 7 main disciplines available for exploration at the Clubhouse: Electronics/Robotics, Fabrication, Graphic Design, Photography/Videography, Audio Production, Coding/Game Development, and Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality.
We’re excited to witness the journey of these young innovators and can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and develop their ideas. Stay tuned for updates on the final showcase, and join us in celebrating the power of youth and technology.
